Lifestyle Blog | Drift Beach Club Chic Wednesdays | Dubai
Not usually someone who blogs too much about lifestyle pieces, but I thought that this is something that I should definitely share with you guys! Here’s a blog piece about Drift Beach Club and their Chic Wednesday offering.
Where it Is
You can key in Drift Beach Club on your GPS and head over there and park. However, it is also convenient to get here if you have access to the tram. Take the tram over to the Palm Jumeirah tram stop and take the overhead bridge to talk across before going downstairs. There, you will see the entrance to One and Only (the resort where Drift Beach Club is in). Talk to security and mention you’re going to Drift and they’ll guide you towards where to go.
Address: One&Only Royal Mirage - Dubai (Note, there are two One&Only resorts in the area, make sure you head to the right one)
Drift Beach Club Chic Wednesdays
I cannot get over how good of an offering their Chic Wednesday deal is. Basically, you have to order one breakfast dish, one hot drink, and one cold drink. By doing this, you get free access to their beach club for the entire day! So just to compare, this is the difference between the two:
On normal weekdays, to get access to the beach club, you pay AED200 inclusive of sunbed, towels, seasonal fruit bowl and bottled water, and access to the swimming pool and beach.
For their Chic Wednesday offering, me and my girlfriend came here and spent a grand total of AED226 for breakfast and got access to the beach club. Granted we didn’t get the seasonal fruit bowl and the bottled water, but just think about it: for basically the same price, you get access for 2 people and breakfast on top! And Drift is seriously such a beautiful beach club. (Note: breakfast can get even cheaper if you order water for one of your drinks as well!)
Being a food blog, I obviously have to talk about their breakfast offerings.
Granted, their breakfast menu items are a bit on the pricey side (if you look at them individually) - but the whole value comes from access to the beach, so it is still cheap all things considered. You can take a look at their breakfast offerings on their website: https://driftbeachdubai.com/ . Alternatively, you can book a sunbed via: 00971 4 315 2200 (Phone Number) or info@driftbeachdubai.com .
I had more of the Banoffee Waffle because I’m a big waffle fan! It is priced at AED45 and I would say that it is actually pretty good. It is actually a pretty heavy breakfast when you add up all the nuts, banana, whipped cream, and the waffle itself. The waffle was also really crispy and the dulce de leche really rounded off the dish really well.
My girlfriend went for the drift pancake. It really is a classic pancake. Soft and fluffy with the classic toppings of maple syrup, mixed berries, and whipped cream. The pancake is also AED45 on the menu.
I went for a smoothie of the day (AED38) and a latte (AED30) whilst my girlfriend went fo a detox of the day (AED38) and a cappuccino (AED30). To be fair, the one I was surprised the most by was the detox of the day. I fully expected it to taste disgusting (as most health drinks do) - but this one is a good mix of healthy and sweet, making it quite bearable. The smoothie was fine as well.
Vibes
Honestly, the place is just good vibes all around. When you get there, you’re greeted by the reception and you go and select your sunbed. Just a note: my mum went there with 3 of her friends and they even got a private cabana (usually more than AED1000) for the day, so on less busy days, they might offer you this!
Once you choose the cabana, you can go grab your breakfast. You will have to leave an Emirates ID/credit card with them and everything is charged to your sunbed number. You can’t bring any fluids into Drift Beach Club, there’s a point where they check your belongings for any drinks. But you can leave to grab a bite for lunch elsewhere if you like and come back later (as long as you leave your ID/credit card with them).
I think the appeal of this beach club is this: a combination of pool and beach (which is fairly empty - especially the beach). You can also get fantastic photos when you’re here!
On the day we went, the whole beach club pretty much shut down at 7 pm.
